About
Ryan G. Kelly is an independent filmmaker based in New York City. Born in Fort Lee, New Jersey - the first movie capital of the world - it is not an exaggeration to say that movies are in Ryan’s blood. From the time he was a child, he was drawn to movies for their expressive power, and he was raised on a steady diet of the classics. As a young adult, Ryan was an active member of the blogging community for many years, getting his writing published in a collection on the films of Steven Spielberg (The Take 2 Guide to Steven Spielberg). In 2010, he decided to turn his attention toward making his own movies and enrolled in Brooklyn College’s film program, earning his degree in film production in 2013. Since graduating, Ryan has written and directed the short films "The Hunted", "Mania", and the proof-of-concept "Cameo"; produced short films and web content; and has worked as an editor of narrative, non-fiction, and commercial content. As a storyteller Ryan is particularly drawn to thriller and horror films, and is currently developing his debut feature.
